Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the following types of personal data:

• Account information: Name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account.
• Profile information: Profile photo, address, and professional bio (for providers).
• Payment information: Payment details are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
• Service data: Service listings, bookings, reviews, ratings, and messages exchanged between customers and providers.
• Photos: Profile pictures, service images, and completion photos uploaded by users.
• Device information: Device identifiers and push notification tokens for delivering notifications.
• Usage data: Crash reports, performance data, and (with your consent on the website and business desktop) product analytics events such as page views, button clicks, and signup funnel steps.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account.
• To facilitate service bookings between customers and providers.
• To process payments securely through Stripe.
• To send booking confirmations, reminders, and status updates via push notifications.
• To display provider profiles and reviews to customers.
• To improve app and website performance, fix issues, and understand where people drop off during signup or listing creation.

3. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, storage, cloud messaging, and crash reporting.
• Stripe: Payment processing and provider payouts.
• PostHog Cloud EU: Product analytics hosted in Frankfurt, Germany. Used on our marketing website and business desktop (with consent) to measure funnels such as provider signup and live listings. Session replay on the business desktop masks form inputs. We do not use PostHog for advertising.
• Sentry (EU): Application error monitoring hosted in the European Union. Used on Cloud Functions and the business desktop to capture crashes and payment failures so we can fix them. We do not use Sentry for advertising, product analytics, or session replay.
• Apple Push Notification Service: Delivering push notifications to your device.

4. Data storage and security

Your product data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud) with servers located in Europe (europe-west6, Zurich). Analytics events you consent to are processed by PostHog Cloud EU in Frankfurt (AWS eu-central-1). Application error reports from Cloud Functions and the business desktop are processed by Sentry in the EU. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

5. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data, bookings, services, and reviews will be permanently removed from our systems. Analytics events may be retained in aggregate form according to PostHog’s retention settings for our project. Error reports are retained according to our Sentry project retention settings.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access: your personal data through your profile in the app.
• Update: your personal data at any time through the Edit Profile section.
• Delete: your account and all associated data through Settings → Delete Account.
• Withdraw consent: for push notifications through your device settings, and for website/business analytics cookies by clearing site data or choosing Decline on the cookie banner (you can reset the choice by clearing local storage for ooido.ch).

7. Children’s privacy

Ooido is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or by email.
